With the new website

So I talked with the person I'm working with on getting a new website up and running, etc.

Here's the news.

He's contacting our current forum provider, trying to see if we can get the data from the FTP so that we can transfer all the posts and users over to a new website. This means that When you register on the main site, you will also be registered on the forum.

Here's the problem, what if our forum provider can't give us the data.

We have 2 options.

Stay with the forums we have now, and re-make the current raov website.
or
Start over with the forums, on the new site. -Advantage is when you register on the site, you are also registered with the forums, and the site will be user-friendly, and all of our admins can easily edit it.

I need your opinions.

I want forums with a white background so I can browse at work without looking over my shoulder all the time. User-friendly is good and I have no problem re-registering.

I think either way we need to have a unban section kinda like Cag had it is where people who have been banned can go and argue thier case or appologise then the admins decide to keep the ban or unban. They also had a recruitment that players had to have so many hours on the server and then admins would vote. Members could also apply for an admin spot and likewise admins would vote on that. They also had a section that had a list of all curent players and admins with thier xfires that was updated constantly, this means that admins would have to pay alot of attention to the site but it worked well. I'm not saying we have to be like them but it worked well.


Just my thoughts? Tell me what you think.

I Also Would Not mind switching completely starting over...

I say we switch over. If there are is any super important information on these forums it's easy enough to copy/paste and repost etc.

So I saw the demo Joe sent it to me this morning. Looking Very good and a lot better than the digital excellence site currently looks. Has the whole raov look and feel to it. Stoob I can post these demo pics but I want to know if you and Joe have already agreed that this is the color scheme and theme we are going to go with?. looks sick.

is the page gonna be a set rez? cause it's annoying on higher resolutions to have a little skinny bar in the middle of your screen with the portal page, forums etc

I think it would help if we put a picture of Chuck Norris on the new site...

Any news on the info transfer ordeal?

haven't gotten with stoob on that yet but I do believe it is a possibility but not entirely sure just yet.

Joe is still working on more images, and fixing up things. I'll see if he can set it to a set image as well, because I logged on it at school and saw the bar, but on my pc it's fixed
